"Big Day" for Urban Music as Star Comes Out

Figures in the world of hip hop music have been praising Frank Ocean for coming out publically as bisexual. Ocean is a member of the rap collective Odd Future. British hip hop star Professor Green, who also broke new ground by appearing in gay magazine Attitude last year, praised Ocean's honesty, but also said that he feared the reaction in a genre which he said was dominated by "bravado and image". Russell Simons, co-founder of legendary label Def Jam said that Mr Ocean's statement was a "big day for hip-hop".
