Cool Rev Explores Gay Identity and History for BBC

Gay vicar and music expert the Reverend Richard Coles was host of a feature on historical homosexuality last week. The programme was broadcast on the BBC’s arts and culture network Radio Three and looked at how conceptions of gay identity have changed from the ancient world to modern times. The Reverend Coles is a Church of England priest and also a talented musician. During the 1980’s he joined Jimmy Somerville in the political gay pop act The Communards with a string of memorable hits.
