The Mayor of the Icelandic Capital, Rekjavik, has celebrated Iceland Pride in style. Jon Gnarr dressed in the characteristic uniform of Pussy Riot, the feminist punk rock band who are being prosecuted in Russia for their protest activism. Iceland is a country with a strong tradition of liberalism and freethought. It was the first country to have a lesbian prime minister and has long championed LGBT equalities.
