Madge Speaks out on the effect of AIDS in the 1980's

Madonna, now approaching thirty years in showbusiness, has spoken to US based gay magazine The Advocate about how the AIDS crisis amongst minority groups in the middle 1980's affected her. "I remember lying on a bed with a friend of mine who was a musician. He was this beautiful man and I watched him kind of waste away" she said. Madonna also explained that to this day most of her English friends are gay, but that she gets little time for socialising these days.
