Activists Unite to Defend Ugandan Lesbian

The refugee rights group Movement for Justice has joined forces with LGBT campaign groups to organise a petition and a demonstration this Friday in support of a Ugandan lesbian who faces deportation. Linda Nakibuuke is just 22 and her supporters say that she faces torture and worse in the notoriously anti-gay African state, where mass media and politicians routinely call for death for minorities. Movement for Justice have launched an online petition and urge all refugee and LGBT activists to rally this Friday at 1pm at the Ugandan High Commission in Trafalgar Square.
