Finding each other!

This week on the show it got SO packed we even had to take the news out! But don't worry, the news team have done a great job and put it all online here on our website for you to read.

It was also a time to reflect back on the last year as Peter Main finishes his year long term as Bristol's first openly gay Lord Mayor. Mary and some of the ShoutOut team were at the Mansion House on Monday to hear the delights of Sing Out Bristol and to grab a chance to speak to Peter himself.

Then Louise and Val from Socialbility joined us as our first guests of the evening to talk to us about the group, what it does and how it works.

And, as if one guest wasn't enough, this week we had two - as MP Stephen Williams joined the team to bring us up to date on the bill for equal marriage that has just passed through the House Of Commons.

AND RUGBY!! - just managing to cram in a bit about it, this Saturday the 25th May, BCfm and ShoutOut are very proud to be the first ever radio station to broadcast coverage of the Union Cup. We will be broadcasting live on our website, on the BCfm website and across Bristol on 93.2FM form 8am until 6pm, so do join us. Wanna watch the rugby in person? It's FREE so come down!!

What does the T stand for?

Packed show this week and it kicked off with a call into the show from Julie McNarmara about her new show "The Knitting Cirlce" which she has put together from stories and testimonies of survivors of the old asylums. It even includes some of the people who were resident at the facility in Yatton.

The Glitzy Girls that are Ange and Emma joined us live too to talk about their new t-girl night. We also talked about what a t-girl actually is and how it differs from being transgendered. If you are interested in attending the night, it's being held at The Queenshilling, the link for whom is in the links listings.

Daryn from Pride joined us too.... Not giving away a ton of secrets - yet (don't worry, we'll tease the details out of him eventually for you). But he did let on about the Pride Film Festival and the fact that this year's Pride week is..well um, not a week - it's longer!

And Eurovision. We know, we know, it's not everyone's cup of tea, but for those that enjoy it, there was plenty in the show to talk about. Sorry podcast fans, we can't include the music for legal reasons but we're sure you'll know which tracks they were anyway.
